Because the source video is professionally reported – and more to the point, a sting by a journalistic organization – it raises some questions for me about where the reporting is taking place – this seems like citizen media emerging as a discussion forum to talk about a professionally reported story. That’s an interesting phenomenon, but it would be interesting to see if there were hints of this discussion, about police attitudes to rape, in social media before the journalistic story broke.
